We went for the SNOW but the best part was the LAKE

The recipe for a perfect day: First, have someone cook you an amazing breakfast. Now, eat it with all your friends.Hop on a chairlift at Sunrise Ski Resort

And don't miss the blue skies and stunning vistas on your ride to the top!As you're swishing down the hill, get passed by your speeding bullet of a son with ski poles in racer position.

Come home to a firey sunset.

Walk out on the dock so you can take it in.

Feel as blessed as can be to be surrounded by good friends in a beautiful place.
Remember forever, repeat as necessary.

Sedona

Over Labor Day (yes, I am that far behind!), we went to Sedona, AZ with our friends, the Andrews. This picturesque redrock hippy town was a fun place to visit!

Santa Fe: Somewhere over the Rainbow

Our journey to visit Erin in Santa Fe was supposed to be quick and easy. Little did we know she lived somewhere over the rainbow, and to get there, you must prove your worthiness.

We passed the test!!!!

Snow Break

For Spring Break, we've rented a cabin with our friends the Pikes up near Greer and the snow. Oliver, Ivy and I are staying here at the cabin today while everyone is skiing. They felt bad leaving us here, but the secret is, we had fun all day. Don't tell them, though, we like them to feel sorry for us. Here's our SnowCat we made. It even has a tail. Meow!

Edinburgh Wrap-up

Howdy, Folks!
Well, we've been home for about a week now, and I feel like I'm just barely getting back on my feet! What a recovery!
Enjoy some of the beautiful Scotland scenery!

One last bucket of balls at the Peebles Hotel green:

The impenatrable Edinburgh castle

This water is the "Fifth of Firth" an estuary to the North Sea. Try saying that 5 times fast!

The Scots know how to garden!

One of the many cannons atop the castle.

This is the famous howitzer cannon, shot at precisely 1:00 every day except Sunday.

Boom!

We visited the Prison, used to hold enemies from the Revolutionary War.

Some etchings in the wooden door show the "Star-Spangled Banner" being flown over a ship. Take that!

Yeah! A rainstorm! Time to show off the great raincoat!

And now for souveniers: You just can't get away from the plaid!

Yes. We bought Eli playable bagpipes. oy.

Time to go home.

Say goodbye to the Motherland!
