On Being Prepared

You know that you're not prepared to give your lesson on preparedness when you run out of gas on the 2 minute drive to church.

And you're an hour late anyway.

Since you had to clean the kitchen before you could find the counter to make breakfast.

And because you slept in.

Since you played too hard and stayed up too late the night before.

Instead of planning your lesson.

Not to mention, earlier in the day you were installing sprinklers, and removing the wooden clothes-line and hauling it to the front with other large debris.

Which is why you were so exhausted the next morning.

Lesson learned.
